Its higher smoke point makes it much more versatile in recipes than traditional butter, and its long shelf life makes it the perfect pantry staple - it can be stored for years unopened, and does not require refrigeration once opened. Simply use a clean, dry spoon with each use and store out of direct heat/sunlight; your open jar will keep for several months.

We keep our batches small and focus on using locally sourced, high quality butter. Some of the cows are quite literally our neighbors - they graze right across the street from our house. We are blessed to make our ghee in beautiful, lush Humboldt County and call it our home.
